The Land We Shared
(2026)
New show in development, produced by Les Théâtres de la Ville de Luxembourg with support from Camden People’s Theatre, London. Early development devised during my residency at neimënster.
How can you grieve when not everything has been buried yet?
My grandmother was like my second mum. After I buried her, I found a bag of clothes with a note inside saying “These are the clothes I wish to be buried in”. I realised I’d made a terrible mistake. This is a show about unfinished business and how the Romanian communist dictatorship shaped our lives: Can we ever right the wrongs of the past? Documentary-theatre with songs and cabbages, this one-woman-show is a new ritual for how to grieve.
The Land We Shared has been selected for a WIP sharing at FOCUS, Luxembourg’s performing arts industry showcase, organised by the Luxembourgish Arts Council (6-8th Nov 2024).
